My most visited foreign country is facing political turmoil at the moment as it looks forward to hosting the Olympic & Paralympic Games very shortly.
I love visiting – very special cities, beautiful countryside, fabulous cuisine and joie de vivre.
It is also a land of vineyards – Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne, Côtes du Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Bordeaux etc. We have driven the wine routes, sampled the grape & toured les chateaux. Here are a few pictures.
Spain
Viva l’Espana. Spain is another country that I adore visiting. Fantastic cities, Roman sites, Moorish architecture, flamenco, paella & tapas, state of the art train network and much more.
Cordoba is one of my favourite cities. Amazing buildings like the Mezquita, colourful aromatic flowers, amazing gardens, open air guitar recitals. So much to absorb.
