Continuing my challenge set by the lovely Gypsy Woman, my second go comes from my favourite European travel country, namely Spain.

In 2011 Mrs Wilbur & I did a tour, flying into the fabulous Santiago de Compostela, before taking the overnight train to Madrid from where it was high speed AVE trains all the way to take us to charming Cordoba, earthy Cadiz and frenetic Seville.

This before & after picture comes from the Moorish city of Cordoba and features the The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos (Spanish for “Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs”).

Inside the walls of the Alcázar is situated an exquisite garden, but this picture was taken outside. I love the feeling of reaching for the sky and the notion that you cannot possibly be in Europe.
