There are two smaller replicas of the Statue of Liberty in Paris by La Seine. One stands near the Musee d’Orsay on the Left Bank and further up the Seine near the Eiffel Tower at Pont de Grenelle stands the second. This is a picture of the latter taken from the batobus.

Where to take Mrs Wilbur for our 16th wedding anniversary this weekend? Paris of course! For the first time we stayed near the Eiffel Tower, allowing Mrs Wilbur to take this shot after our anniversary meal on Friday night.

With the European Football championships kicking off in Paris tonight when the host nation play Romania, I of course had to choose a picture from the French capital. This is the view of La Seine across to the Pont des Arts – it was taken in the December of 2005.

It never ceases to amaze me that the Musee D’Orsay in Paris allow visitors to freely photograph exhibits. The gallery is far and away my favourite in Paris, a city of course where competition is fierce. Here are a couple of my favourite photographs that I took a few years ago.
