Sunday Photo – 29

Another reason besides the wonderful artwork that Musee D’Orsay is my favourite gallery in Paris is the building itself.

It is housed on the Rive Gauche of La Seine in the old Paris to Orleans railway station.

Many of the original features of the grand building have been retained, most notably the incredible clock and the beautiful glass ceiling.

As I am feeling generous this weekend and because I could not part them as my favourite features, I have published pictures featuring them both.

January last year. Good to find the local bolt holes

Musee d’Orsay is my favourite in Paris as well, though the only other museum I visited there was the Louvre.

I think this is the best museum in Paris, much better than the Louvre!

Totally agree – much less up itself!
