The big one for this Englishman takes place in Rome tonight.
Ukraine

Lviv is a very agreeable small city in the west of Ukraine, close to the Polish border.
We travelled there on a marathon 27-hour train journey from Sevastopol via Simferopol in the Crimea in 2011. It was actually to be a venue city for Euro 2012 and we could see much construction work going on in preparation.
Happily the old town was construction free, and what a beauty the area is. Cobbled streets, churches, towers to climb and fine squares. Definitely worth a visit.

England

Manchester makes for a great city for a weekend break. It has a great music scene, two top class football teams and plenty to do to keep you well entertained.
The Northern Quarter is home to an eclectic collection of street art, much of it by world renowned street artists.
