A couple of Januarys ago we took the train from the Latvian capital to the Estonian counterpart, Tallinn.
Both cities are wonderfully photogenic and the train journey was comfortable & scenic.

I remember a train journey from Riga to Jurmala.
A train journey overseas is always a good idea! We did a side trip to Majori too.
In a week or two we are going to India , 5 rail journeys around Delhi and the north.
