We are coming to the end of a wonderful week in the Dales. The weather has been great, the one bedroom dog friendly cottage excellent and most of all the Dales are simply stunning.
When we booked we had no idea that there was a set of beautiful waterfalls a stone’s throw away. Situated on the River Ure and surrounded by gorgeous woodland, they make a fabulous setting for some relaxed walks.
Comprised of three sets of falls, they are free to enter with nearby parking available for £1.50 per hour. We spoke to the guys in the Falls Cafe and they told us the place is heaving in high summer, so go in Spring or Autumn or get there good and early.

A favourite of mine. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was partly filmed there. The fight with Little John.
Never knew that. I will have to watch. We stumbled across filming for all creatures great & small in
Grassington. Christmas episode!
We went to Grassington earlier this year. No filming that day.
