Copenhagen in the snow is very atmospheric, with Neuhavn perhaps the pick of all the capital’s streets.
I went with Mrs Wilbur to watch a European match between FC Copenhagen and Manchester City. I had to laugh at the City fans complaining how expensive the beers were!
Author Hans Christian Andersen is Copenhagen’s favourite son, even though he was a pretty odd chap I have read. There are a few statues dotted about to pay homage.
Belgium
I have nothing against the Belgian capital, but it’s not a place that I would rush back to for the city alone.
We were actually due to go in 2020 with a group of Twitter buddies, but of course outside forces scuppered that. We were due to visit the transport museum and take an historic tram ride around the city. One day hopefully.
Apart from that, a beer & moules frites in and around the Grand Place is very acceptable. Leffe naturally.
