Britain’s highest mountain is Ben Nevis in Scotland, at 1,345 metres above sea level.

I climbed it (no crampons required) in 2011 and in so doing completed the U.K.’s ‘3 Peaks’ (Snowdon in Wales in 1980, 2010 Scafell Pike in England being the other two).

Only took me thirty-years then!

From the moment I first visited Prague in 1992 I fell in love with the place. I have been back many times since, with the city going from a beguiling poor relation to touristic hotspot over the ensuing years.

My earliest visits will always be my favourites though. Dirt cheap, crowd free and authentically atmospheric.

The Bohemian city was especially romantic back then and remains a wonderful place to visit.

  1. Shame about that Denmark Finland match, I think you would have got that one right without the nasty incident. I make it 8 points so far out of a possible 21.
