Having recently been to Bologna and seen their own leaning tower, I was reminded of the original and more famous one in Pisa. I saw it with wife and friends in March 2003 on a beautiful spring day. Things went downhill fast afterwards after we travelled onto Florence….
Its not often that you see ducks in the sea – on the island of Skyros in Greece it seems that salt water isn’t foul to fowls (apologies for the pun!).
It never ceases to amaze me that the Musee D’Orsay in Paris allow visitors to freely photograph exhibits. The gallery is far and away my favourite in Paris, a city of course where competition is fierce. Here are a couple of my favourite photographs that I took a few years ago.
Today’s photograph was taken in February this year. It is a statue of Hans Christian Andersen. Surprisingly it was not taken in Andersen’s home city of Copenhagen but was actually shot in Bratislava.
