The Danes take on the Serbs in Munich with everything to play for in Group C
Denmark
My first ever visit to Denmark was in 1992. We took a train from Paris which fabulously boarded a ferry at Puttgarten in Germany to Rødby on the Danish islands of Lolland.
We crossed several amazing bridges as we made our way to Copenhagen on the island of Zealand.
The most famous bridge in Copenhagen is the Øresund which links the city with Malmo in Sweden by train & road. I have seen it but am yet to traverse it.
The Bridge is a road and rail bridge that was completed just before the start of WWII. It crosses a stretch of water known as Storstrømmen between the islands of Falster and Masnedø.
The 18 kilometre long Great Belt Bridge was completed in 1997. The journey across the Great Belt between the islands of Zealand and Funen can now be completed in ten-minutes, a fifty-minute saving on the old ferry journey.

Serbia
Belgrade has a famous bridge known as the Blue Bridge. The proper name is the Ada Bridge, stretching over the Sava River and opened in January 2012, causing much controversy due to the construction costs spiralling out of control.
