With foreign travel perhaps on the agenda again I am sharing a few photos of my last trip outside Europe to the Caucasus country of Azerbaijan.

The former Soviet is considered as Europe by some, but is very different to the rest of the continent, especially if you venture outside Baku as we did.

We arrived by overnight train from Tbilisi – always my favourite way to get to a new destination.
