Monday Morning Blues – Knaresborough Viaduct in North Yorkshire, UK

It was a lovely day yesterday in northern England. We drove to Northumberland and nipped off the A1 en route.

The viaduct across the River Nidd has frequent trains crossing on the way to and from Harrogate.

Built in 1851, it replaced the original bridge that collapsed shortly after completion in 1848. Thankfully nobody was hurt as far as I have read.
