The Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), Venice
The beautiful palace situated on the Grand Canal is one of Venice’s top draws alongside St Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge.

Built in Venetian Gothic style, and one of the main landmarks of the city it was the residence of the Doge of Venice, the supreme authority of the former Republic. It was
Built in 1340 and extended and modified in the following centuries, it is now a museum with hordes of visitors on any normal year.

The Bridge Of Sighs
An enclosed bridge made of white limestone and constructed with windows with stone bars, passes over the Rio di Palazzo, and connects the New Prison (Prigioni Nuove) to the interrogation rooms in the Palace.
