The tile work above the entrance to the Sher-Dor Madrasah at the Registan is amazing. It features a pair of tigers with a rising sun with human faces on their backs as they seem to be about to devour an antelope each.
Notice also there is an image of swastika, which from ancient times was the symbol of abundance and fertility.
