Christ’s Epitaph Is Paraded Around The Streets On Friday Evening

Candles Lit From The Holy Light That Travelled From Jerusalem

We all sang:

‘”Xristos Anesti, ek nekron,

Thanato thanaton patisas,

Kai tis en minimasin,

Zoe harisisamenas”

Which roughly translates as:

Christ has risen from the dead, defeating death through death, and to those that have died, he has given life”
