Whilst registering for this year’s April A-Z Challenge I came across a really inspirational writing competition named WRiTE CLUB.
Now in its 7th year, the contest is the brainchild of D L Hammons and takes the form of an internet based writing knock-out where you are pitted against other writers.
The long list of entries is whittled down to 30 by some pretty eminent judges and then contestants are randomly drawn in pairs with the winner of each bout determined by public vote and progressing to the next round.
I have submitted my 500 word entry and would urge fellow bloggers to sign up for the good fight or alternatively to vote for your favourites once the matches get underway in mid April.
Full details can be found by clicking ITS A KNOCKOUT.
Whilst writing, don’t forget to also sign up for the A-Z April Challenge with the idea that throughout April you submit an article a day for 26 days (Sunday is a day of rest) on any theme starting with A on April 1st and finishing with Z on April 30th.
I am giving it my 3rd go and it would be great to follow your posts too. Click on APRIL FOOL for details.
Good luck!
