Following on from Friday’s photo, one of the beauties of doing the hike to Machu Picchu is that you arrive very early in the morning and have the sacred site pretty much to yourselves before the train arrives and those staying in the hotel nearby venture out after a full English.

This photo shows much of the mist and low cloud still in place. What a magnificent memory it was to see the sun slowly burn the vapours away to reveal MP in all its glory. Magic!
