Ironbridge & Shrewsbury

This weekend I visited the heartland of the Industrial Revolution as well as the beautiful Severnside town of Shrewsbury.

Blessed with marvellous weather I went for some strolls by the UK’s longest river…..



The world’s first iron bridge designed by Thomas Prichard in 1775 and whose construction was supervised by the engineer Abraham Darby from 1777-79
